A.F. Blakemore Promotes Marc Deakin to Group Supply Chain and Logistics Director
A.F. Blakemore & Son has promoted Marc Deakin to Group Supply Chain and Logistics Director, strengthening the company’s Executive Leadership Team and reinforcing its commitment to developing exceptional talent from within.
Marc brings more than three decades of expertise, built across different roles in supply chain and logistics and a deep understanding of Blakemore’s operations, having joined the business in 1995 as a part time Chilled Warehouse Operative. In recent years, Marc has led a major transformation of the group’s supply chain, improving availability, enhancing customer service, and driving investment in the Relex IT platform. He also played a pivotal role in the design, build and operation of the Bedford depot, and has delivered significant growth through centralisation and backhaul initiatives.
